Endurance Coaching
Need a coach? Everyone can benefit from an endurance coach whether you are new to exercising or are an experienced endurance athlete. A good coach can help you maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of your workouts by determining how hard, how long, and how often you should be working. We can set up a plan for many endurance sports including running, cycling, swimming, mountainbiking, triathlon, duathlon, ultra-running, adventure racing, etc. At Positively Chiropractic, we have coaching options that can help you meet your goals:
Individual Coaching Package-
- Cost of the package is $180 for the first month and subsequent months are $150/month. There is a three month contract minumum. The fee is due by the end of the first week of the month. If the previous month was not paid for, you will not be sent the next month's training plan until your balance is paid.
- This package is designed for the individual who has some basic
knowledge of their chosen sport and wants to focus on a specific goal.
- Included in the package are the following:
- A consultation with Coach Melissa to determine your current fitness level and goals
- A monthly training plan that will include frequency, duration and intensity sessions for your chosen sport(s)
- Follow-up emails at the client's initiative to answer questions and provide general modifications to the plan as the clients training progresses.
- Scheduled access to your coach by phone- :30 mins per month. The client must schedule this phone consult each month with the office staff. If you'd like your 30 minutes in person, it needs to be scheduled ahead of time with the office staff on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday only in the office.
- Unlimited access to your coach via email
- Discounted services: VO2 testing for $90 (orig. $100); Swim, Bike, Run, or Workout lessons for $75 (orig. $100)
- Near the end of each month, Coach Melissa will email you a feedback sheet that must be filled out and returned to Melissa before the current month ends. She needs this to be able to make any needed modifications to your plan. Please return it as soon as possible.
Premium Coaching Package-

- This package is designed for the individual who wants more specialized and personal coaching to achieve their desired goal.

- Scheduled access to your coach by phone- :30 mins per week.

Answers
- Coaching would provide a
structured program designed specifically for your needs and your goals. The
program will build on your limiters while maintaining your strengths by
incorporating activities that you are either learning or mastering.
- The coaching plan that works
best for an individual depends on how much interaction you want or need. If you need help with adhering to a program or have a very busy
lifestyle that requires a lot of flexibility, the Premium plan may work best
for you. With the Premium plan,
you can also take advantage of the group workouts to get feedback on your
biomechanics. The individual coaching
plan is designed for the individual who has some basic knowledge of their
chosen sport and wants to focus on a specific goal such as a specific marathon
or race.
- With a personalized training
plan you and Coach Melissa work together to reach your goals with the time you
have available. Whether exercise
is not normally part of your weekly schedule, or whether you are training for a
marathon, Melissa will help fit your coaching to your lifestyle. It is Melissa’s belief that a
person can meet their goals with efficiency. Doing more work is not necessarily how you reach your
goals. Working smart is the best
way.
- With either
coaching plan, Coach Melissa offers the VO2 max test at a discounted rate of
$90 (Orig. $100). Swim, Bike or Run lessons are discounted
to $75 (Orig. $100).
- The premiums for
the coaching packages are due at the beginning of each month. Plans payments need to be kept up to date to continue
coaching services. Please make arrangements with the office staff.
- Your coach is
available via email as often as you need.
The Basic coaching clients can schedule a monthly 30-minute phone or
in-person consult with Coach Melissa.
The Premium coaching clients can schedule a weekly 30-minute consult.
These consults can be scheduled with the office staff as well.
- Your coach likes to know how
you are doing. If a workout goes
really well, then let her know. If
something does not go well, then let her know. Good communication means you get better results from your
coaching experience. You will
always need to call the office to schedule your 30-minute consults each month
for a Basic level client. Premium
clients will have a regular time scheduled and will only need to call the
office if they need to change their times.
- Your first month of coaching is $180 and includes a one hour consultation.
You and your coach will determine how that hour will be used according
to what your goals are. This is a
great bargain for a Premium client!
- The Basic coaching
package costs $150 per month. The Premium coaching package costs $300 per month.
Payments are due at the beginning of each month. A contract must be signed for
a 3 month minimum agreement.
- You need to save the feedback
form Melissa will email you so you can fill it out and send it back at the beginning of
the last week of your training schedule
each month. This is needed
to be able to make any modifications to your next month’s training schedule. It
is very important!
- Whenever you start
a new fitness program you should always see a physician before to make sure you
are physically fit enough to do the program. When you sign the informed consent
form, you are agreeing that you are physically ready to take part in the
training program.
- As stated in the coaching
contract, you will need to inform Melissa that you are discontinuing coaching before
the end of the month. This notice is required before Melissa sends your next
month’s training schedule or you will be charged for the next month.
