Dr. Kathy Coutinho is a board-certified Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine who opened Positively Chiropractic and Dynamic Kinesiology in March of 2000. Dr. Kathy graduated from Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon in March of 1997 and worked as a chiropractor’s associate for 3 years before opening her own practice. She is an active member of the Virginia Chiropractic Association and Business Networking International (B.N.I.). She is also currently the President of her local BNI chapter. In 2009, Dr. Kathy was name Business Owner of the Year by the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Kathy sponsors EX2 Adventure Racing--a company that puts on year round off-road cycling and running races--as well as Mid-Atlantic Off-Road Enthusiasts (M.O.R.E.), a unified group of cyclists who share information on group rides, races, and much more!
Dr. Kathy is certified as an Applied Kinesiologist (A.K.), as a Chiropractic Sports Physician (C.C.S.P.), and as an Active Release Technique (A.R.T.) provider. These skills have given her the ability to offer her patients care that links skeletal health to the muscular, nervous, and organic systems. Dr. Kathy views one’s health as not merely a structure that needs to be fixed, but a dynamic, complex system combining the physical, emotional, spiritual, and chemical health of the individual that needs to be fully assessed before appropriate treatment can be rendered.
Dr. Kathy’s specialty is sports medicine, as she herself is an avid competitor of mountain biking and off-road triathlon through XTERRA. She is an XTERRA ambassador with Team Unlimited, a 2011 XTERRA National Champion and an XTERRA Ameteur World Champion. Her mantra is ALWAYS MOVING YOU FORWARD. Her biggest pet peeve is when patients are told by other doctors that they have to QUIT their sport without being given the opportunity to properly treat and overcome their injuries. Dr. Kathy provides that opportunity!
She feels that combining sports chiropractic and Active Release Technique is the most effective and proactive means of treating soft tissue injuries that stop people from training in their given sport. This is true for young athletes as well as our active geriatric population.
Dr. Anna Moseley is a Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine certified to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia, Commonwealth of California, and State of Arizona. As a graduate of Life Chiropractic University, Dr. Anna has been an active practitioner in the field since 1997. Dr. Anna has also attended Emory University, and continues to regularly attend continuing education courses and seminars in the field of Sports Chiropractic Medicine as this field of medicine, in particular, is currently in a stage of rapid development and refinement. Dr. Anna has been an independent contractor at Positively Chiropractic since July 2000.
Dr. Anna's entrance into this field of medicine was largely a result of her exposure to Chiropractic medicine after a particularly severe car accident where what is generally termed "conventional medicine" seemed unable to adequately address many of the rehabilitative needs stemming from the injury.
Successful chiropractic intervention relieved pain and discomfort from this life-altering event, and this began her commitment to Chiropractic medicine.
Because Dr. Anna's immediate family includes conventional medical doctors, she has a rather unique perspective to recognize the benefits of other fields of medicine and does not subscribe to the belief that Chiropractic medicine can cure every ailment under every circumstance.

Dr. Moeser was also a member of the cross country and indoor/outdoor track and field teams at George Mason.
Dr. Moeser is certified in Active Release Techniques for spine, upper and lower extremities and is also certified in Kinesio Taping Technique (K1, K2 and K3). Dr. Rose has been an independent contractor at Positively Chiropractic since April 2010.
Dr. John Dandelski is a Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine certified to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as well as in Washington, DC. He graduated from Life University, magna cum laude, and has worked with elite athletes, Olympic hopefuls, runners, rugby players, basketball players, golfers, swimmers, and triathletes. He employees a variety of chiropractic techniques including diversified, Thompson, SOT as well as Activator. Additionally, Dr. John practices muscle energy techniques, which use muscle activation to help pull skeletal structures into proper position.
As a triathlete, Dr. John understands the many issues swimmers, bikers, and runners have and the importance of staying healthy -- a single injury can wipe out an entire season so prevention is key! He relies on many different diagnostic procedures from chiropractic, neurology, and sports training, which reveal faulty neurological conditioning, aberrant movement patterns, joint fixations, muscle weaknesses, and incorrect muscle recruitment.
Dr. John is also one of only a handful of extremity specialists in DC and Virginia. He is a Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner (CCEP) with advanced training in the adjustment of extremities (feet, knees, hips; hands, elbows, shoulders, jaw). He is also a certified ART provider for the upper extremity, which is a revolutionary way to treat neck and shoulder pain, as well as arm and hand pain and dysfunction. Additionally, Dr. John can cast patients for a variety of foot orthotics and can even custom make orthotics in the office during 1 visit.
Prior to becoming a chiropractor Dr. John was a marine scientist and holds an M.A. in marine science from the University of Miami, Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science; an M.S. in psychology from Radford University, and is a graduate of Bethany College (WV). Through Dr. Nguyen’s gentle approach and education, patients have renewed vitality and a healthy outlook on life. Dr. Nguyen is also a certified FirstLine Therapy practitioner. Jill is a certified Medical Exercise Specialist with the American Academy of Health, Fitness, and Rehabilitation Professionals, a personal trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and a fitness instructor, teaching primarily spin classes at present. She enjoys bringing people to higher levels of functional and athletic ability. Especially following injury, a period of post-rehab enables patients to use the improved strength and mobility achieved through adjustments and other more specific regimes to regain and improve overall strength and confidence to resume a full life and strive for any achievement. Working closely with an individual, the element of pre-rehab is compelling, that movement can betray the inception of an injury and can be arrested with specific stretches and/or exercises before it truly manifests itself. Jill’s focus is on keeping the bar high, whether you’re coming from a total knee replacement or spinal surgery, battling menopause, recovering from an injury, training for a PR, or training for overall fitness and well-being. To quote Winston Churchill, “Never, never, never, never give up!”
Jill served in the US Army in the 1980s in Berlin, Germany, in military intelligence. She spent additional time in other parts of Germany and the former Soviet Union. Further education includes master’s and bachelor’s degrees from George Washington University in International Affairs. She speaks Russian and German.
